We get it, you want to take higher quality photos! Here are step-by-step instructions for connecting your external camera to the Pixi app — wirelessly!
Absolutely, we’ve put together Design Templates for Adobe Illustrator.
The templates are available for download here.
Cancel anytime. Send an email to support@pixilated.com and include the email address associated with your account.
Within no time, we’ll process your request and you’ve already paid for the month, your Pro account will be active until your next billing cycle. At that point, your account will be downgraded to a Free account, so you can still access your photos and dashboard.
Certainly. You’ll still be able to try out all of the management and customization features in the PixiCloud web portal, you just won’t get to activate your events through the photo booth app.
That said, you can download and use the app on any Android device, not just tablets. So if you have an Android phone, while not optimal, you can still get the full PixiCloud experience.
Currently, PixiCloud Pro is only available on a monthly subscription basis, but with a Free account, you can certainly use it for just one event with no strings attached.
Our company also offers daily event photo kiosk rentals called PixiTABs. Check out our self-service daily rental options here.
PixiCloud Support can be reached by email at support@pixilated.com or by phone at (802) 459-1692.
In addition, live chat is available on our website Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm EST — just click on the chat icon in the bottom right corner of your browser.
From each photo session, PixiCloud saves the session photo, the device ID and account associated, the time of the session, the email address(es) and phone number(s) entered by the user(s), and whether or not the user opted-in to receive future communications.
From your Dashboard, click “Go To Gallery” button or select “Gallery” from the navigation menu. Photo galleries are organized by date and you can easily view, download and delete photos.
From your dashboard, click “Download Data, select a date range of the data set you would like to export, then click “Download”. A CSV file will be generated and can easily be imported into MailChimp, Constant Contact, Hubspot, Salesforce, or any other marketing software.
To download the Pixi photo booth app, find it in the Google Play Store and tap “Install” on your Android device.
Adding a device to your account is easy. Log in to your PixiCloud account and navigate to the device management page. Create a device and generate a registration key. Then, on your Android device, download the Pixi app from the Google Play Store and activate your device with your registration key.

Yes, PixiCloud was built with photo booth business owners and operators in mind. The inspiration came from operating our own event photo booth rental company.
Our aim is to continue to build the best photo booth software platform that allows for affordable hardware options, supports both device cameras and professional cameras, and has a cloud-based event management system allowing for control of an entire fleet of photo booths.
The PixiCloud photo booth software has a monthly subscription fee to allow us to continuously develop the software, expand cloud storage, and release new features on a rolling basis without charging additional fees.
PixiCloud allows for email and/or SMS capture for any event. A user can access and export the data captured by their Pixi kiosk through their online portal at portal.pixi.cloud. Pro and Enterprise account levels also have access to use our MailChimp integration.
Overlays are customizable filters and borders that can be added to photos instantly using a swiping gesture on the screen — just like Snapchat or Instagram.
PixiCloud allows you to load up to six Overlays per event.
Overlay specifications:
- File type: PNG with transparent background
- Maximum upload: 2MB

We recommend using the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1″ or the Huawei Mediapad M3 Lite 10. Both of these tablets feature Wi-Fi Direct which is necessary for our Sony camera integration. Any Android tablet with Wi-Fi Direct and Android 7 or newer should work.
However, if you plan to use the tablet internal camera, Wi-Fi Direct is not a necessary feature. We suggest the Huawei Mediapad M3 Lite 10. It features an 8MP front facing camera and can take great photos in sufficiently lit areas.
Pixi, our photo booth app is currently only supported on the Android operating system. We do have plans to release a version for IOS in the future so check back.
Our photo booth app can use either the internal tablet camera or can wirelessly tether to several Sony cameras.
We currently recommend:
- Sony Alpha a5100 Mirrorless Digital Camera with 16-50mm Lens
- Sony Alpha a6000 Mirrorless Digital Camera with 16-50mm Lens
We also support:
- Sony Alpha a5000 Mirrorless Digital Camera
- Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX500 Digital Camera
- Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX80 Digital Camera
- Sony DSC-QX10 Digital Camera Module for Smartphones
With testing, all Sony cameras supported by the Camera Remote API should be compatible.
Pixi, our photo booth app runs on Android 7 or newer and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.

PixiCloud, our photo booth management software runs in any web browser on any device.
